During the 1980s, religious celebrations at Sufidar would begin after dusk and continue into the early hours of the morning.
Dadaji would often spend long periods at the dargah during this time, and chose this room, which he christened “Shanti Ghar”, as a place to rest briefly while the celebrations were ongoing.
In his later years, Dadaji used this room as a storage space for his belongings.
Today, Shanti Ghar displays memorable photos of Dadaji along with some of the items he used on a daily basis.
Devotees and visitors experience serenity and tranquility here as the literal translation of Shanti Ghar is “house of peace”.
